2026 Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan

Funded by a Metropolitan Transportation Commission grant, the Town is updating its Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. The project kicks off in September 2025 and is striving to finish in July of 2026. As depicted in the project timeline below, the Town plans to carry out a robust community engagement process to learn how to make Fairfax a safer and more enjoyable place to travel by active modes.

The first Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee is taking place at the Women's Club on Monday, September 15th at 7pm.
