On August 6, 2025, there was a hearing on the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) preventing the Town from enforcing its anti-camping ordinance. The judge did not lift the TRO. The Council unanimously agreed that Fairfax will abide by the court’s ruling and will not be enforcing the ordinance until allowed by law. The Judge ruled that the TRO will be in place through August 20, 2025 and there will be another hearing on August 19, 2025 regarding the preliminary injunction.
