We have Great Horned Owls living right here in our Bolinas Park redwood grove. These owls don’t build their own nests though, they relocate to nests left by other birds each season.
Unfortunately, recently the nests they have found are in terrible condition and the owlets have ended up on the ground in the park due to the nests collapsing.

Luckily these Owlets have been returned to their nests by the helpful tree climbing team at WildCare.
However, they are young still and may fall out a few more times!

Helpful Tip: Please watch for owlets while walking through the trees in the park, keep dogs and people at a distance from them and call WildCare at 415-456-SAVE or Marin Humane to help return them to the nest.
