Be Prepared! Join Fairfax for a Self-Paced Evacuation Drill, September 6

September 6 | 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

The Ross Valley Fire Department and Fairfax Police Department invite you to participate in a voluntary, self-paced County Wide Evacuation Drill on September 6, 2025. We ask that you simulate an evacuation scenario between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Check-in at the entrance booth to Ember Stomp at the Marin County Fairgrounds to confirm your successful evacuation and then educate yourself and your family on Wildfire Preparedness at the Ember Stomp Wildfire Festival.

Evacuation Drill 

Date: September 6, 2025

Time: Simulate an evacuation scenario between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Location: Meet at  Marin County Fairgroundsdrill instructions in spanish

  1. Grab your go bags and evacuate as a family.
  2. Drive directly to Ember Stomp at the Marin County Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 6th and park in the front lots.
  3. Check in at the entrance booth to demonstrate that you made it.
  4. Spend time at the FREE Wildfire Prevention Festival.
