About the program
Snails & Turkey Tails Nature Playgroup is a nature-based class for children and their caregivers. Designed for young children and their caregivers to connect, explore, and play together, children move freely among a variety of engaging, open-ended play stations that support sensory exploration, motor development, creativity, and social interaction. Activities may include a mud kitchen, a potion making station, the slack line, a hammock, a truck pit, a sensory tent, a tool station, a painting easel and more! Classes meet weekly for one month. We find that a one month time frame helps to build routine, support developmental progress, builds a deeper connection with nature, supports community connection, and strengthens group dynamics. Each session invites families to experience a gentle, child-led rhythm in nature, where curiosity and imagination thrive. All classes are led by Liesha, a certified early childhood educator.
