The Marin Humane Society handles the licensing for dogs for Fairfax. A dog license is required by law for all dogs over the age of four months who live in Marin County. You pay your Business License Tax when you register for or renew a Business License. If you have a Business License, you have already paid your Business Tax. You can pay your license fee at Town Hall during regular business hours (Monday – Thursday, 8:30-5:00 pm)
If you would like to register your new business, you should check with our Planning Division to make sure your business location is zoned properly for the business you want to do. Then you will need to complete a Business License Application. Link to attached pdf.

The siren was intended for flood use. However, it might be used for other emergencies such as a wild land fire. Also, the sirens are tested on the first Friday of every month at 11:45 AM. If you are told to evacuate, follow the instructions of emergency personnel. They will tell you if you should go to the Pavilion or another shelter location. Not all shelters are open during a disaster.
