Crescent Moon Theater Productions, in proud partnership with the Town of Fairfax, has been awarded the prestigious Arts in Parks Development Grant to bring to life The Hidden Network—a groundbreaking immersive arts experience that transforms California’s redwood forests into living theaters.
The Hidden Network invites visitors to listen deeply to the forest through a self-guided audio tour blending the voices of ecologists, poets, and Indigenous knowledge-keepers. As they wander, audiences will encounter live performances by circus artists, dancers, and musicians—each offering a powerful, poetic embodiment of the unseen communication that happens between trees.
Staged in majestic redwood groves across Marin, Eureka, and Big Sur, the project aims to ignite wonder, awaken reflection, and rekindle a sense of belonging within the web of life.
Fairfax will serve as the heart and home base of this project. We’re honored to gather stories and insights from local residents about their relationships with the redwoods, and the debut performance will take place right here in our community. The Town of Fairfax is generously supporting the project with rehearsal space, park access and community outreach efforts.

Crescent Moon Theater Productions has spent the last decade crafting poignant, innovative circus-theater-dance productions throughout the Bay Area—in unique settings from the coastlines of Bolinas to the Tenderloin National Forest and Point San Pablo Harbor.
