- At the Special Town Council Meeting held on May 21st, 2025, staff presented options on how to approach studying parking availability in the town center area. Council directed staff to conduct a baseline study of the existing parking conditions in town with the assistance of local businesses and residents.
- Currently, staff are comparing the number and distribution of parking spaces in the town center area with the parking inventory study last conducted in 2003. This includes confirming the spaces exist still and noting if spaces have been added since 2003 to the town center area.
- Staff will conduct a community walk with residents interested in making comments and notes on parking availability sometime in late August or early September. Residents interested in participating will be notified of the walk’s date in a future newsletter.
- Once findings are drafted, staff will meet with the chamber of commerce and ask for their input. Likely in October, staff will present to the town council on their takeaways from the findings.
