The Workforce Housing Overlay was adopted by Ordinance 887.
The Town determined that certain sites in downtown and along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, identified in the General Plan Housing Element, provided opportunities for mixed use and multi-family housing and are a means of providing housing for teachers, restaurant and service workers, firefighters, police officers, and others employed in the Town and Marin County.
