Special Recall Election – November 4, 2025
On August 6, 2025, the Fairfax Town Council certified the sufficiency of recall petitions for Councilmembers Lisel Blash and Stephanie Hellman. In response, the Council has called for a Special Recall Election to be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The Marin County Elections Department will assist in administering the election.
What's on the Ballot?
Voters will be asked two questions:
| Should Councilmember Lisel Blash be recalled (removed) from office? |

| Should Councilmember Stephanie Hellman be recalled (removed) from office? |
|
If a majority votes “Yes” for either or both councilmembers, the remaining councilmembers will determine the next steps, which may include appointing replacements and scheduling a subsequent election.
Voting Information
- By Mail: All registered voters will receive a vote-by-mail ballot.
- In-Person Voting: Polling locations will be available. Times TBD.
- Drop Boxes: Secure drop boxes will be available for ballot submission.
